The first step is to give me a call or send me an email. We can then arrange a time to meet, usually within a few days. In our first session we will explore how we will work together. You will get a sense of how it is to sit in a room with me and I will give you a clear idea of what I understand therapy to be. I will do my best to answer any questions that you have and you can then decide whether you feel I can help.
If we do decide to go ahead, we’ll work out whether it would be most helpful to explore your circumstances in some depth, which would indicate open-ended therapy, or whether you have a more specific issue that can be worked on in an agreed number of sessions. We will then arrange to meet once a week at the same time and in the same place. We will regularly review how things are going as we work together.
